Oldies

My mum recently found these of her childhood. All these adorable kids are now my mother, aunt and uncles. Isn't it strange to think that in 20 years when we're having children of our own, the photo's we've taken of our childhood will have faded and look just as vintage as these. I look forward to it.

Iron Man 2

7th May; What does that mean to you? Maybe a birthday? A party or a gig or something to go to? Excuse my frankness, but all of those mean nothing. Friday 7th May is going to be one of the best days this year.... and here's why:

I am SO FREEKING EXCITED! After the awesomeness of the first one and the yummyness of Robert Downey Jr this surely can't disappoint! I have faith. And even if it does, we're going to a party afterwards so I'll be able to drown my sorrows :) wonderful. http://ironmanmovie.marvel.com/


NB: I'm ashamed to say it came out on the 30th.. I was wrong. But I'm still going to see it on the 7th :D

Magic Music

The best music is always written with passion and emotion. Here may be the perfect example of this. The words are captivating and the power is enough to make my heart stop. Typically, I'm not a fan of this kind of music, but this is very atypical.

My my, what transformations! :)

Music
First things first, festivals! This year I'm going to V festival with my family (yep, Mum, Dad and younger brother..haha) and leeds with friends. Both, no doubt, will be amazing! I'm most excited to see The Prodigy (again), Paolo Nutini <3, Mumford & Sons and Queens of the Stone Age. Even if it rains none stop I am in my element when at festivals!
Secondly, he's done it again.. the GOD that is Dave Grohl has run off and joined ANOTHER band! Although I'd definitely have done the same to play with John Paul Jones and Josh Homme, if only I played the drums... The music is, however, a disappointment (in my opinion). With a combination of Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age legends working together I expected more, but its a pretty tall order to create better than they've already made.
And yes, once again I have fallen head over heels in love with Led, but at least there's no chance of heartbreak ahead!
Finally, lovely Liam played me this yesterday; Helen by Nizolpi. I'm not sure if I love it so much for its sentimental value, or because there's FINALLY a song about a 'Helen' (plus the lyrics are adorable), but I've got it on repeat. Probably the first to be honest, I'm such a sucker!

Out and About
I've been in Manchester a lot with some really great people! Lots of laughs and guitar, that's what we like :)
I also had my first Smurf experience, it was unforgettable!

There are lots of 18th on now too, which makes me even sadder that I've got another FOUR BLOODY MONTHS to go. But Surely that will make it all the better when it finally comes. 30th August; weep for me!
4th April 2010: I lost my 3D virginity to How To Train Your Dragon 3D. wow. It was incredible! I'd give it 5 stars, you MUST see this film! I've also seen Clash of the Titans 3D, and if it wasn't for the company it would have been crap. It was NOT 3d! haha :)

Well this whole 'redoing your A levels at home' is alot harder than I expected, so I've been preparing for a life on the dole :(
30th April; Chase & Status.. woo!
I intend to pass my driving test ASAP, I'm fed up of the extortionate prices on the Manchester train!
