Geek

Things have been happening, and not happening recently in a way I'm really intrigued by. I've isolated myself, stopped going out (well.. almost), and been myself a lot more than before. I've mellowed out and re-assessed who I really am and I'll tell you what I've found..

1) Asos's magazine did an article on Kristin Cavallari this month and described her as 'the girl you walk past in the street and secretly wish you were friends with'. We've all done it, if just for a moment looked at the beautiful girls and wished we were friends with them. Well if I'm honest, they're not all they're cracked up to be. I would now really love to find some plain looking friends!

2) Mumford & Sons! An incredible band, really just the most perfect music.. if you haven't heard of them you must. They're pretty "folkie" but its so delicate and wonderful they might just change your life!

3) I'm really into these new romcom's with a twist! Everyone's seen '500 days of Summer' so you know what I meant when I say it's not you're typical love story, and thank god because there are far too many of those around these days. Tonight I watched 'Away we go' and again I fell in love with Burt. His name say's it all really, a plain guy with a bushy beard, nothing special to look at but he loves Verona so much that it simply doesn't matter! They're love is the kind I want, a simple love that is unconditional. Unfortunately I was born a very passionate person so I imagine my love life (in fact my whole life in general) will be far from easy or peaceful, but if I ever found a relationship like theirs I would do whatever I could to keep that man for the rest of my life. And any man who says "I will still love you, even if you gain weight. Even if you gain so much weight I can't find your vagina!" will capture my heart forever! Any Burt's out there for me please?

4) Fashion wise I've adopted a simple look, big tops tucked in a black body-con skirt, and I just can't get enough of braces. I'd love to find some new tunic dresses and I haven't been able to take of a white jumper that my aunt left behind when she was over for Christmas, sorry Emily! Apparently she bought it in a Chilean market stall one day and its cropped in the style of whatever era high waisted jeans were fashionable. If anyone gets a photo of me wearing it I'll be sure to put it up on here because my description doesn't do it any good at all.

5) EEKK! So I finally accepted that I really should re-sit my AS exams if I ever want to do Architecture. Maths, Psychology and History I think. History was my weakest last year but I'm in a new frame of mind so hopefully if I read some books and really get interested in the history of China and Mao that I might just pass! Learning the whole year again from home is going to be very difficult though but I do not want to sit lower 6 again with guys two years younger than me so I've got no choice than to work my butt off.. ouch!

So to summarize, more geeks please!
